This lovely fur clip style brooch is from the Art Retro period circa 1940s. It is fashioned from 14kt yellow gold with a slight rosey cast and is stamped 14k. There is also a tiny stamp next to this that I cannot make out. The brooch measures 1 3/4 x 1 1/2 inches. It is a double prong type clasp that is commonly known as a fur clip. It weighs 18.8 grams. This shell would look great on an omega chain or gold wire. You would just have to have your jeweler add a bail.
