This antique brass box is beautifully decorated with hand painted porcelain on the front and fleur-de-lis on the back.  The painting is signed with the French script name of the artist and the painted porcelain is stamped "Mrs Hamilton Powell Gainsborough" on the back. 

We believe it to be French in origin and date from the late 19th century.  The box measures 2 1/2 X 2 X 1 inches and is in excellent condition.
